In this module, i have learn about online learning, mobile learning and virtual and remote lab. First, i would like to introduce to everyone what is STEAM. STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding students inquiry, dialogues, and critical thinking.
Now let us together explore what it is online learning, Online learning is same meaning with E-learning. It is a learning system that based on formalised teaching but with the help of electronic resources. The important benefit of online learning is that it can span time and distance. By using online learning you do not have to be in the same place as your teacher to obtain course-related information. We can have anywhere, anytime access to your course documents along with consistent interaction with your classmates and teacher. Next is mobile learning. Mobile learning can be known by M-learning. M-learning is learning across multiple contexts, throught social and content interactions, by using personal electronic devices. M-learning technologies include handheld computers, MP3 players, notebooks, mobile phones and tablets. By using mobile tools for creating learning aids and materials becomes an important part of informal learning. M-learning is convenient in that it is accessible from virtually anywhere. Sharing is almost instantaneous among everyone using the same content, which leads to the reception of instant feedback and tips.Meanwhile, virtual and remote lab is reflect a movement among education institutions to make the equipment and elements of a physical science laboratory more easily available to learners from any location, via the web. Virtual laboratores are web applications that emulate the operation of real laboratores and enable students to practice in a safe environment before using real, physical components. More over, It is about remote lab. Remote Lab is the use of telecommunications to remotely conduct real experiments, at the physical location of the operating technology, whilst the scientist is utilizing technology from a separate geographical location. Remote laboratory comphrehends one or more remote experiments. This is few benefits of remote lab are predominantly in engineering education, relax time constraints, relax geographical constraints, economies of scale and etc.
Second is about 3D printing is any of various processes in which material is joined or solidified under computer control to create a three dimensionl object, with material being added together. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and typically are produced using digital model data from a 3D model. There are many different technologies, used in the 3D printing process. Thus, unlike material removed from a stock in the conventional machining process, 3D printing or Additive Manufacturing builds a three dimensional object from a computer-aided design(CAD) model, usually by successively adding material layer by layer. After that, gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts. Gamification commonly employs game design elements to improve user engagement, organizational productivity, flow learning, crowdsourcing and more. A collection of research on gamification shows that a majority of studles on gamification find it has positive effects on individuals. However, individual and contextual differences exist. Lastly, immersive learning is an English school based in an Online Virtual World. It is the first school that teachers exclusively online in a virtual environment, students and teachers use avatars to navigate the environment and take part in lessons. Lessons are also completely contextual, which is in direct contradiction to the traditional classroom system.
In conclusion, there are many ways for teachers to teach students without prepareing lots of thing and tools in teaching progress. By using this methods students will more focus and less bored.
